SAKSHI TIWARI (Founder & Creative Director)

“INKARA” is a branchild of Sakshi, looking after all the aesthetics you notice on the website and of course our collections and fabrics. A constant source of creativity, she ensures that the brand ethos is communicated well, the voice and vision of the brand are heard and enlivens the brand narrative.With her father as his inspiration and support, Sakshi decided to turn her passion into a profession. She always wished to contribute to the betterment of the planet and strongly pursued the idea of fashion , which became the foundation of her brand.

UMESH TIWARI (founder & Business Advisor)

The backbone of Inkara and a pillar of strength for Sakshi; With his diverse experience in the art and film world to running his own business, he knows his numbers inside out & keeps us all in check.He, with her Daughter, co-founder, Umesh Tiwari, founded Inkara in 2022. He, along with our beautiful team , are an integral and indispensable part of Inkara.

Our Vision

We wish to become pioneers of supporting and promoting Traditional Textile prints and Handprints into apparel Industry, while acquainting the world with the concept of slow fashion and fast fashion and its merits. Working at grassroots level, we enable our artisans to present the world with authentic Indian crafts.

With the evolution of fashion, Inkara wants to create a revolution in fashion. We want to create a brand that creates an impact on a global level, staying true to our culture, while embracing modern aesthetics.
